Our partners

Our travel insurance policies are underwritten by Allianz Australia Insurance Ltd, part of Allianz SE. In the case of some truly global calamities, it's important to have a quality underwriter who is large enough to manage the financial cost of claims, and Allianz is one of the largest insurance and financial services companies in the world. Find out more about Allianz.

Our assistance provider is Allianz Global Assistance. It's part of the international Allianz Global Assistance Group, one of the largest assistance companies in the world, so it has the size, reach and expertise to help if you need emergency medical care. We're local

Worldcare's 24-hour emergency assistance contact centre is based in Brisbane with access to a team of over 550 staff including doctors, registered nurses, social workers, translators, logistical experts, communication specialists and support personnel. We also have connections to Allianz Global Assistance's international colleagues on the ground located all around the world, including 400,000 service providers, 240 correspondents and 37 operation centres.

Our history

We were one of the first Australian travel insurance companies to offer medical repatriations for Australians overseas, and were founded by Dr Tom Biggs, a Queensland physician who was shocked by the challenges he faced in repatriating his injured son home.

Our mission is to manage those challenges for you, should something go wrong when you travel. We have a rich range of experience and have the products and services to suit your travel insurance needs.
