Who is Worldcare?
Worldcare is an Australian company providing travel insurance to Australian customers for over 10 years. Our insurance policies are underwritten by Allianz, the world’s leading insurance company.
We were the first Australian company to get into the business of medical repatriations for Australians stuck overseas, and were founded by Dr Tom Biggs, a Queensland physician who found himself in the position of managing a hands-on repatriation for a family member, and was shocked by the challenges he faced.
Our mission is to manage those challenges for you, should something go wrong when you are travelling. We have a rich range of experience over 20 years, and have a range of products and services to suit your insurance needs. We also offer you the maximum level of choice in our innovative Select A Benefit product, which allows you to tailor benefit levels and inclusions to suit your needs.
We offer you total in-house service from arranging your insurance to paying your claim.
We have offices in Brisbane, Sydney and the Gold Coast, with our Global Response Centre (GRC) based at Toowong in Brisbane. We have over 449 staff in the GRC including: doctors, registered nurses, social workers, mechanics, translators, logistical experts, communication specialists and support personnel. In addition to the staff in the GRC, we have a team on the ground located all around the world, including 400,000 service providers, 240 correspondents and 37 operation centres.

Worldcare Travel Insurance is owned, arranged and managed by Allianz Global Assistance Australia, a locally operated assistance company who manages the Insurance from beginning to end, offering in-house service from policy creation through to settlement of your claim.
