Worldcare's 24-hour contact centre is based at Toowong in Brisbane with access to a team of over 550 staff including doctors, registered nurses, social workers, translators, logistical experts, communication specialists and support personnel. We also have connections to Allianz Global Assistance's international colleagues on the ground located all around the world, including 400,000 service providers, 240 correspondents and 37 operation centres.
We were one of the first Australian travel insurance companies to offer medical repatriations for Australians overseas, and were founded by Dr Tom Biggs, a Queensland physician who was shocked by the challenges he faced in repatriating his injured son home.

Flexibility, choice and good value
When selecting your travel insurance policy, you can choose our Comprehensive, Budget or Frequent Traveller plans, for Domestic or International Travel. If you have a pre-existing condition, our standard travel insurance policy provides cover for 43 pre-existing medical conditions absolutely free, provided that you have not been hospitalised (including Day Surgery or Emergency Department attendance) for that condition in the past 24 months. Our Comprehensive plan is available for travellers 85 years and under. Our Frequent Traveller and Budget plan is available for travellers 71 years and under. Incremental age loadings do apply from 51 years.
